SHIREEN

Shireen is a mother who is an adventurer, a writer and a photographer. She contributes to publications both locally and internationally. Furthermore, she is a big lover of local arts and has worked with both the George Town Festival and the Rainforest Fringe Festival. She received her LLB from Warwick University in England. She ran an early learning workshop called Moms & Tots in Dubai. She has achieved milestones during her career from being a fundraising committee member with the Red Crescent Society to being a founder of the Daisy Chains Project which ran a series of art workshops for children to raise money for the Malaysian Deaf Association to publish Malaysia’s first newspaper for the deaf. She is also Committee member for team in conjunction with the Jumping Jellybeans raising money for Rumah Solehah (home for women and children living with HIV). Shireen’s favourite countries to visit are Japan and Scotland. She praises the food, arts, culture and heritage of Japan. Meanwhile in Scotland, she shouts out to their story book castles down every country lane, claiming that it is breathtakingly beautiful.
